It is not good to be alone, especially when one is in trouble. One can
really know one's friends in such situations. It happens that an old
group of friends „forget” to invite the person with a disabled child or
invite only the person, forcing him/her to make a choice between the
child and the friends.
Lord Jesus helped me being in this situation, so I gradually understood
that God had entrusted me this child to help me getting closer to
Him. When I realised that it meant a change of a vital importance in my
life. Since then I have been looking for the way not only for my son
but also for all the persons in similar situation, the possibilities
for them to overcome their disabilities.
The Clever Hands Foundation have been offering the basis and frame for our common aims for more than ten years.
Our group began its activity in 1991, as part of the international ‘Faith and Light’ movement – being then a spiritual community of some families from Tg-Mures and its outskirts, who participated in regular meetings. In time, the parents came up with the idea that their children would need practical activities in order to develop their abilities. For these activities to be realized it required regular organization which needed legal frame, a permanent center with qualified employees, and material funds.
These reasons led to the official formation of the Foundation in 1996.
